Who pays for this, and who was turned down

Four sellers are linked commercially. Three more that this site was cleared to link are not, and the reasons are printed here rather than left out.

The arrangement

Some links on this site go to companies that pay a share when a reader subscribes after following one. Those links are marked sponsored and nofollow, and they run through this site's own redirect path so that every one of them can be listed, audited and changed in a single place. Ordinary links to publishers, certifying bodies and free resources are not commercial and carry no marking.

What a partner pays has never decided what a page says. The practical test is the one below: the free option that pays nothing is named on every page where it is the honest answer, and it is named before the paid ones.

Who is linked commercially

  • DataCamp — short interactive data courses. Its own current sale price and the regular price it states are both printed wherever it is discussed.
  • Coursera, including Coursera Plus — the platform that sells the Google and IBM certificates covered here. Coursera pays on a first transaction rather than on a subscription's life, which is why the annual Plus link is used where a reader is genuinely buying a year.
  • Codecademy — used only where a SQL or Python course is the honest recommendation, not as a default.

freeCodeCamp, SQLBolt, Kaggle, Microsoft's own Excel help pages, and Coursera's audit and Financial Aid routes have no affiliate programme between them. Recommending any of them earns this site exactly nothing, and they are recommended constantly, because for a large number of readers they are the correct answer. If that ever stops being true on this site, the site has stopped being worth reading.

This site's partner list permitted three more names. None of them is linked, and a refusal printed here cannot be quietly reversed later — it would have to be rewritten on this page first.

  • Simplilearn. Its data analyst course page published no price when we read it on 24 September 2026. A reader cannot find out what they would pay without handing over contact details first, and this site does not send people to a course it cannot price.
  • Edureka. The US data-analyst programme URL we followed on 24 September 2026 resolved to a partner Master's degree priced at USD 5,379 or EUR 4,600, with a USD 300 deposit. A degree is a different purchase from the self-paced courses covered here, and it is not what a reader arriving from these pages is shopping for.
  • Udemy. The fleet's own two reference documents disagree about whether this site may key it at all, and its terms are weak in any case — a seven-day attribution window, with subscriptions and free courses excluded. Rather than resolve a contradiction in our own favour, there is no link.

What you will never find here

  • Coupon or promo-code pages. Sellers in this market routinely void sales made with codes they did not approve, and a page built around one exists to catch a search, not to help anyone choose.
  • A salary, hiring or completion figure attached to a course. The reasoning is set out on the about page.
  • A paid placement. Position on this site is not purchasable, and a section is never added because a company asked for one.

If something here is wrong

Partner terms change, sales end, and pages move. If a commercial relationship described here is out of date, or a link is marked wrongly, tell us and it will be fixed on the page rather than quietly in the background.
