What this site collects, which is very little

No accounts, no mailing list, no form. This page describes what actually happens when you read Rowcount, not a template of what might.

There is no mailing list

This site has no newsletter, no sign-up box and no contact form. Nothing here asks for your email address, so there is no subscriber list, no email service holding your details, and nothing to unsubscribe from. If you write to the address on the contact page, your message sits in an inbox and is used to answer you.

Server logs

Like any web server, the host that serves these pages records ordinary request information — the page requested, the time, the browser's user-agent string and the network address the request came from. That is operational data used to keep the site working and to see which pages are read. It is not combined with anything that identifies you personally.

Some links out of this site are partner links, marked as sponsored and nofollow. Following one takes you to the seller, who may set their own cookies under their own privacy policy in order to attribute the visit. What comes back to this site is a count of referrals, not a record of who you are or what you bought. The arrangement is set out in full on the disclosure page.

Leaving the site

Pages here link out to publishers, certifying bodies and free learning resources. Once you follow a link, that organisation's own privacy policy governs what happens next, and this site has no visibility into it. That applies equally to partner links and to the free resources recommended here, which carry no commercial relationship at all.

Changes to this page

If what this site collects ever changes — if analytics are added, or the contact route changes — this page will be rewritten to describe the new arrangement, and the date at the top of it will move. It will not be updated to describe a mailing list unless one actually exists.
